project 4

In the beginning of my loop i used a simple kick drum to build up to the next sound. I recorded the Hypersaw 4 on the piano as the main sound. I used the X-Y controller on the Hypersaw 4 to change the sound of it to make it not just a plain sound. Then i recorded the BooBass on the piano to match the Hypersaw 4 pattern. With the BooBass i put the Fruity Filter on the BooBass so it could match the pattern of the Hypersaw 4 better. At the end i stopped the drum kick and faded out the sound with an echo effect on it so the ending did not just end.

project 3

To start my drum loop i used the SimSynth then used the chopping tool to get a cool sound. Also i added an automation clip on the SimSynth to give it more of an effect and to make the sound more intense as it leads up to where the drum beat comes in. With the drum beat i just had a simple, consistent beat that went every 4 steps. Then for a i went back to just the SimSynth as the only sound. After that i added the Chasses in the Sytrus channel. Along with the Chasses playing, i also had the same drum beat i had in pattern 2 and the SimSynth i had in the being too. Then i transposed my second fill to a low sound then i transposed it back to a high sound. The last thing i did was add an automation clip on the last sound to fade out the volume.

Project 2

In project two we had to use FPC, the chop tool and transpose. When i went into FPC i found a latin drum beat that i really liked. My problem with that was i couldn't find a good fill that went with the drum beat. I ended up using another latin drum beat but i added a few claps and i used the Synth Slayer tool to make it a fill. I used the chop tool with the Synth Slayer and got a really good techno sound that would compliment the latin drum beat i had. In the middle i made it busy then in the end i copied a pattern i used for the middle, took out the clap, and made it not as busy as the middle patterns. I transposed the pattern at the end to go from a high sounding patter to a low sounding one then back to a high one to end the loop.

Project 1

In pattern one i used a Hip Kick for every 4 steps, i also used two types of Toms, one is a deeper sound then the other, and i used a clap at the end of the pattern. I emphasized the clap by making the volume louder then any of the other sounds. At first i didn't like the snare sound, but with a got kick sound to go with the snare i decided to add a snare beat. What i found difficult was deciding how the end of my drum loop would sound. I didn't want it to just stop so i added a fade out effect on the last beat. Hope you like it.
